I guess instead of hanging chads, it's gonna be 'suspicious squiggles'.

Chris Stearns Thu. Nov. 20, 03:53pm#2

I've been looking at that ballot image. Part of that squiggle was pointing at Al Franken's bubble, so they clearly intended to vote for Big Al.

Joe,

That news came out yesterday late morning/ early afternoon, so try and keep up with times.

Joe Spears Tue. Nov. 25, 04:30pm#5

Ya I live outside the web every now and then. Sorry, I am having more fun with this than anyting ;-)

At least Al can make watching C-SPAN fun.

Gillian Myerberg Tue. Nov. 25, 04:43pm#6

It wasn't just on the internet, it was all over the news networks as well. Can't wait to see Franken win.

Gillian Myerberg Tue. Nov. 25, 04:44pm#7

And C-SPAN, wow Joe, you must be one of the most boring people on the planet if you can spend your day actually watching C-SPAN.

Joe Spears Tue. Nov. 25, 06:59pm#8

No, heck I rarely watch TV anymore, I wait for the Season DVDs of shows to come out. Or I watch the shows on the internet.

C-SPAN has got to be one of the most boring things ever created ;-)

Chris Stearns Tue. Nov. 25, 07:34pm#9

Nope. I'm definitely the most boring person on the planet (happily). Didn't spend all day watching it, but spent a good 60 mins after work yesterday.

Government spokesmen in a press conference are fascinating to watch if you analyze their rhetoric and the content of their responses to reporters. The good ones always have an answer and project absolute confidence.

Looks like Franken is in the lead.

But look at this ballot they say is for "Little Al" (of course "Big Al" of Global warming one):

I see more popcorn and beer is need.

I don't get the reason it was even contested, is it because the voter voted for Obama? This isn't the only Republican vote on the ballot...

Joe Spears Tue. Dec. 23, 05:12am#12

Actually the funny thing is, it was counted for "Little Al" -- note the middle of the page where the Canvasing board counted it as an Al vote.

Interesting to see how long this one draws out for, I think either side is going to re-contest this one.

oh okay, I couldn't make heads or tails of that scribble. The ballot itself seems pretty clear-cut.
